Comments from our dance partners
Kelly Monks - Footworks Dance School: “The World Cup, and Team England, is truly a remarkable thing and the camaraderie continues past its finish x Well done for creating such a great supportive team x “
Gemma Mulcahy - Principal of Fantasy Feet "This was our first year at DWC and it was everything we had thought and more. We took 14 girls to be part of Team Wales but we made to feel so welcome by all the dance schools from all the UK Teams, information as very clear and most helpful and all the UK teams are given so much help and support along the way. We had an amazing time and it was such an honour to take part, we will definitely be entering the qualifiers again, our girls are all hoping to go to Spain next year "
Sarah Burnell School of Dance. Bridgend, South Wales "The Dance World Cup has breathed new life into the community of my dance school. The vibrancy of the event has created a strong passion amongst my dancers as they now feel that they are being recognised on a world stage. The event is effectively organised from start to finish and encourages all dancers to come together and share their love of performing. Everyone is treated as equals at this family friendly, multi cultural celebration of youth and dance"
Vicky Richards from Spotlight Stage School “Auditioning for Team England was one of the best decisions I have ever made for my school. Just qualifying to represent your country gives everybody an amazing sense of achievement and is also great publicity for dance schools. We have now done Romania (2015), Jersey (2016) and Germany (2017). Team England always does really well and there is a great buzz and excitement throughout the whole week. All the UK teams stick together and cheer for one another. I have met so many fabulous teachers from other schools and my pupils have made so many new dancing friends. I was so amazed by the size and inspired by the standard - it truly is the biggest and best dance competition in the world.”
Team England have won the Dance World Cup 2017 retaining their title for the fifth year in succession! Team England won both Country Awards at the winners Gala. Team Scotland came 4th place in the Mini and Children Country Award! Well done to all the dancers in Team England, Team Scotland, Team Wales and Team Northern Ireland - many dancers winning Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in all four teams and lots of points for their Team!

Dance World Cup UK Ltd is responsible for organising the qualifier which is by Video Audition for all four UK Teams. A panel of Dance World Cup trained Judges watch the Video Auditions on a cinema size screen so it is important that you film very clearly and not on mobile phones. Do email for more details on entering. The Judges select the dancers in each team to go to the finals.
Syllabus will be available on the website at the end of September. Please join the mailing list to ensure you get the latest information.
